Transistor Radio: 1954

The Transistor Radio was first issued by Regency in 1954. Regency was  ahead of its time in 1954. You might of thought that Sony made the transistor radio (i did to) because they were big in portable music from 1970 to present starting with the Walkman (Walkman will be explained later).

The Transistor Radio cost $49.95 in 1954 and came in multiple colors. The colors the radio would come in are black, ivory, mandarin red, cloud gray, mahogany and olive green.

The Transistor Radio changed society because it was the only way to listen to stuff portably until the late 70's.
